Dear parents,
親愛的家長，
There is very much a sense that Hong Kong is opening up again. Our students at Mills are working at a fast and happily energetic pace to catch up with what they missed while they couldn’t be on-campus. Opportunities for new learning experiences are arising daily. We also had a very busy Open Day with over 115 prospective families registered, which created a wonderful buzz at the school and is heartening as we look to the next academic year.
以香港現時的情況，應該很快就可以全面開放。我們苗士國際幼稚園的學生正在以愉快而又充滿活力的步伐學習，希望可以追趕他們在無法參加面授課程時所錯過的部分。孩子們每天都有新的學習機會。我們同時也舉辦了一個非常成功的開放日，有超過一百一十五個家庭參加了我們的活動，這在學校引起了極大的反響，也為新學年的前景打了一劑強心針。
One question which often arises from prospective parents – and one that is worth reminding ourselves of – is how does a child learn at Mills? For those of you whose children have grown with us for some time, you will know that our emphasis is always on how children understand and apply what they learn. Introduction to new concepts and ideas is important – but actual understanding and practical application are the keys to success.
準父母經常會提出一個問題，一個值得提醒我們自己的問題就是：孩子們是如何在苗士國際幼稚園學習的？對於孩子們已經和苗士國際幼稚園一起成長了一段時間的家長來說，他們一定可以體會到我們的重點始終是讓孩子理解和運用所學知識。我們認為引入新概念和想法很重要，但是實際理解和應用才是成功的關鍵。
Our goal is for our students to love to learn and know how to learn to learn. They are encouraged to be in control of their own experiences and responses, and don’t need to be nagged or controlled by teachers or parents to maintain their curiosity and desire to gain knowledge. At Mills, we love questions, ideas, and debates! This is what enquiry-based learning is all about.
我們的目標是讓我們的學生熱愛學習，並學會學習。鼓勵他們控制自己的行為和反應，而不必受老師或父母的嘮叨或掌控，這樣才能保持他們的好奇心和獲取知識的願望。在苗士國際幼稚園，我們鼓勵孩子提問，有自己的想法和愛上辯論！這就是我們學校教導孩子以探究為本的學習方式的根本。
We hope that as your child continues to grow and develop physically, cognitively, and emotionally, you are seeing the following traits emerge:
