K3 | Outer Space + Graduation — Mills International Preschool 苗士國際幼稚園

K3 has continued to explore the wonders of the universe this month. We have explored a range of topics including the planets, dwarf planets within our solar system, and the life cycle of a star. Without a doubt, the most popular topic has been black holes, which the class has had countless discussions, questions, and comments. Each of the K3 students did a fantastic job on the topic assessment to conclude a very successful topic of study.

K3本月繼續探索宇宙奇觀。我們探索了一系列主題，包括太陽系中的行星、矮行星和恆星的生命週期。毫無疑問，最熱門的話題是黑洞，課堂上有無數的討論、問題和評論。每個 K3 學生在主題評估上都做得非常出色，從而完成了一個非常成功的學習主題。

Both the K2 and K3 students celebrated their graduation on Tuesday, 15 June! It was a wonderful celebration of their achievements this year and throughout their time at Mills. They performed a number of songs including What a Wonderful World and the Mills song on ukulele. Each student can be very proud of their efforts in practising and rehearsing leading up to the big day. A special congratulations to our Head Boy and Head Girl, Pranav and Julina, who did an amazing job in presenting during the ceremony.

The K3 Owls class have now reached the end of their time at Mills, and it has truly been a pleasure to get to know each of them and teach them this year. As a class, we have made great progress academically and enjoyed endless fun together, but most importantly they have each showed me their unique and incredible characters that I know will carry them in the future. I wish you all the best next year as you begin your journeys through primary school, and please do not hesitate to return to Mills for a visit whenever possible.

高班的學習現在已經接近尾聲，很開心有機會教導他們並渡過了一年愉快的時光。作為一個班級，我們在學業上取得了巨大的進步，一起享受了無盡的樂趣，但最重要的是，他們每個人都向我展示了他們獨特而令人難以置信的性格，我知道這些性格將在未來發揮作用。祝所有的小朋友在下一個階段的小學生活，一切順利，歡迎你們有機會隨時回來探訪苗士幼稚園。

It has been a wonderful year as we have witnessed the K3 children grow into mature and independent learners, just like a primary school student. Whether they were participating in class activities or practising for our Graduation Ceremony, they reminded each other to pay attention in class, to keep quiet when doing class work, and to dance well when performing. The students understood that the year has come to an end, so they have been treasuring the time to play and explore with their peers. Whenever they brought their favourite toys to school for Show and Tell, they were happy to share with their peers.

鳳凰花綴滿枝頭的六月，高班孩子們在老師的眼裡已經饒有小學生的模樣了。無論是在參與課堂活動還是在排練畢業典禮的節目，他們會相互提醒同伴「上課要專心」、「寫功課要安靜」、「表演時要好好跳舞」等⋯⋯孩子們知道離別在即，從而也更珍惜與同伴們相處的時光。每次孩子們帶自己喜愛的玩具回校做展示分享時，他們都很樂意把玩具讓給每個小夥伴玩一玩。

The students ended their Outer Space topic by presenting their favourite planet and its characteristics to their classmates. They have also watched a video of a rocket lift off. The children counted down excitedly in front of the screen, as if they were the astronauts in the spaceship.

在六月裏，「遨遊太空」這一探究主題接近尾聲。由於孩子們對「遨遊太空」的話題有著濃厚的興趣，因此在課堂活動中他們輪流當「小老師」，逐一向同伴介紹他們喜愛的行星及其特點。我們還欣賞了「火箭升空」的影片，孩子們坐在螢幕前興奮地倒數，彷彿他們就是太空船裏的宇航員。

Apart from the Graduation Ceremony, other notable events in June were Dragon Boat Festival and Father’s Day. During the Parent-student sharing session, the children made a dragon boat photo frame with their parents and caregivers. Father’s Day was celebrated with the children creating a lovely rocket craft for their fathers. We were delighted to invite one of our K3 parents to share how her child has grown and progressed at Mills, during the Graduation Ceremony. It has been a great pleasure to have these children in our class this year, and we thank you for giving your time and support. You have been a fantastic group of parents and we appreciate all that you have contributed this year!

六月不僅有畢業禮，還有端午節和父親節。端午節時，家長們到校與孩子們一起製作了龍舟相框；父親節時，孩子們將用心繪製的火箭送給敬愛的爸爸們；畢業禮上，我們有幸邀請到高班的家長李女士分享錦恆在校的成長歷程⋯⋯在孩子們的成長道路上，我非常感激有家長們的相伴同行和支持鼓勵，謝謝你們！
