Pre-Nursery | Out and About + Noisy – Crash Bang Boom — Mills International Preschool 苗士國際幼稚園

Caterpillars started off the month of May learning about going to the park and the beach as a part of our Out and About theme. They’ve role played building a sandcastle by using a bucket and a spade. They’ve also pretended to go fishing and caught lots of exotic fish.

預備班的小朋友在五月份學習有關去公園和海灘的內容，這是我們《出遊》主題的一部分。他們模仿使用小桶和小鏟子來建造沙堡；還假裝去釣魚，並捕獲了許多漁獲。

This month has been full of celebrations! First, we celebrated Mother’s Day and made beautiful flowers. The students had so much fun sponge painting and making their gift. We also celebrated International Day and students dressed in national dress and beautiful outfits inspired by different countries. They had so much fun participating in the parade and listening to parent-student presentations.

這個月有不少慶祝活動！首先，我們慶祝母親節並製作了美麗的花朵。學生們非常開心地用海綿畫畫並做禮物。我們還慶祝了國際日，學生們穿著民族服裝或是來自不同國家的美麗衣裳。他們參與「時裝秀」和聆聽家長的演講真是太有趣了。

We also started a new theme this month – Noisy – Crash Bang Boom. Students have been listening to different sounds around us and trying to recognise them. They’ve enjoyed our circle time and were so eager to participate. We explored different musical instruments and the students have been learning the basics of music making. During art time, the students have been learning different creative techniques like finger painting.

這個月份我們也開始了一個新主題《聲音》。學生們一直在聆聽我們周圍的不同聲音，並試圖識別它們。他們很喜歡我們的社交活動時間，非常渴望參加。我們探索了不同的樂器，並一直在學習音樂製作的基礎知識。在美術課期間，學生們正在學習不同的創作技巧，例如手指畫。

The second Sunday in May is a happy and warm holiday: Mother’s Day. When the Pre-Nursery students were asked if they would like to make flowers for their mums, they nodded excitedly. They selected and decorated the flower carefully and whole-heartedly. It was touching to see the children put so much effort into their artworks so they could express their love and gratitude for their mothers.

五月的第二個星期天是一個幸福溫馨的節日：母親節。當老師問學前班的孩子們：「小朋友們，你們想不想自己做一朵花送給媽媽？」時，孩子們都興奮地點頭，期待的神情彰顯在每一張稚嫩的臉龐上。孩子們精心挑選「花朵」的款式，然後認真地裝飾「花朵」。看著孩子們盡自己所能向媽媽們表達愛意的場景，老師覺得特別感動：學前班的寶貝們真是太可愛、太棒了！

During the theme Out and About, not only did Pre-Nursery students learn about going to the supermarket but also the park and the beach.

在「外面的世界」這個主題裏，我們不僅學習了與「超市」相關的內容，還學習了「公園」和「沙灘」。

Students went shopping in the Mills supermarket. We prepared paper money teaching aids in order for the children to experience and role play ‘buying things’ to help them better understand the basic concept for use in real life situations. When talking about the park, they were eager to shout the names of leisure facilities and some students shared their experiences of visiting Ocean Park. When the students were asked whether they would like to visit the beach, they all raised their hands in excitement! They also read the vocabulary for beach aloud.

老師準備了紙幣教具讓孩子們體驗「買東西」的過程，在參與遊戲的過程中，孩子們知道了「買東西要付款」。在介紹「公園」的時候，孩子們看到遊樂設施的圖片時都爭先恐後地說出各項遊樂設施的名稱，有些孩子還開心地和身邊同伴分享去「海洋公園」的樂趣。當老師問道「夏天來了，小朋友們想不想去沙灘？」的時候，大家紛紛舉起自己的小手，還大聲地跟著老師讀「沙灘」。

Noisy – Crash, Bang, Boom is our new theme and the students have been exploring sound. The children enjoyed listening carefully to the sounds made by tapping the plastic and paper cups with chopsticks.

在「外面的世界」這個主題結束後，我們開始了「聲音」這一主題的學習，當老師用筷子敲打水杯、紙杯而發出不同的聲音時，孩子們看得全神貫注。

Pre-Nursery students have shown great enthusiasm for learning new things. We have introduced them to ‘Five Finger Breathing’ and the children observed quietly and carefully. Some of them even opened their hands and practised breathing with the teachers. They have brought so much joy and laughter to the classroom.

學前班的孩子們不僅上課很投入專注，對於學習新事物也滿懷熱情。一天老師向小朋友們示範了「五指呼吸法」，孩子們都瞪大眼睛好奇地觀察，有些孩子甚至張開自己的小手，認真地跟著老師練習呼吸呢！學前班孩子們每天都帶給老師各種欣喜和笑聲。
