Playgroup | Transportation
Our playgroup students have been learning about transportation. We focused on the themes of land, air and water. Students learned new words like truck, van, bicycle, helicopter, rocket, sailboat and submarine.

They enjoyed creating theme-based artwork like a paper plate car, a traffic light, rowing boats and many more! We used different methods and materials to create fun and interactive art.

The children practised their fine motor skills by building planes with pegs and popsicle sticks! We introduced numeracy by counting passengers on the school bus and counting its wheels. We explored space by flying in a rocket and created stars together.

We experimented with locomotive movements through imitation activities. The children moved like buses, airplanes and rockets. Students learned the meaning of stop and go with the colours red and green. They enjoyed singing the song Walk and You Walk, and You Stop and Driving in My Car. The children were also encouraged to try out different vehicles in the Wonder Room!

It was a fun month of movement, imagination and building understanding of the world.
