Playgroup | Jungle Animals
Playgroup students explored the world around them by learning all about jungle animals; from animals in the sky and those hiding behind the bushes! Students reviewed some familiar animals and were introduced to some new animals like the snake, parrot, elephant, lion, tiger, gorilla, leopard and many more!

The students were able to explore the different jungle animals by their sounds, their colours and what food they like to eat. To build artistic skills and imagination, the children were asked to create the different animal patterns. The students used their fine motor skills to roll the roller in an up and down motion to create zebra stripes. Daisy demonstrated creativity and confidence during this activity.

The children were able to create animal artwork that they can role play with too. They also practised early numeracy skills by counting 1 to 5 and learned colours through parrot feathers. Alongside the many animals, we explored the jungle facilitated by different sensory materials like water beads, soil and shaving foam. Andy and Hailey enjoyed exploring their senses a lot!

The playgroup class had a lot of fun with parachute play and interacted with each other with confidence.
